Mercury Records
Universal Music wanted a web design concept for the Australian Mercury Records label. It would need to capture the unique and well-known nature of the label's artists. Mercury's artists fall into two distinct sub-labels: Mercury Red (for more sophisticated audiences) and Mercury Black (for younger audiences).
Having profiled the Mercury Records audiences we needed to provide a design concept for each label. We used strong colours, textures and typography to differentiated the two labels.
A design was constructed which allowed the same layout and feature set to be used with the Black and Red sub-labels clearly separated. Social media and sharing formed a huge part of the concept - perfect for the music and entertainment industry.
Blue Tongue BBQs
We helped a brand new premium BBQ brand take their first steps onto the web. The BBQs are simply incredible. The features are those that you would expect on a $5000 but come for well under $3000. Don't think the quality is the thing that has lost out - These BBQs are stainless steel and have exceptional build quality.
The solution we rolled out was the combination of an SEO friendly blogging platform and an industry leading eCommerce platform. The result is a seamless integrated platform that ranks highly for organic search and gives the company an amazingly simple eCommerce solution.
All of the updates to the site and products are handled through the backend, the customer is completely in control. If you are looking for an eCommerce solution that is time proven, feature rich and just keeps getting better - Give us a call.

DJ Condom
We were approached to develop the logo & website of a very innovative product: The DJ Condom. This device is the first of its kind and has a patented design... So what does it do? It protects DJ equipment from liquid spills and scratches.
Sure, there are others that claim to do the same. But DJ Condom protects the the device in use. So the choice is a no brainer: DJ Condom.
The site incorporates e-commerce into a CMS that allows content to be changed by the sites managers. The flexible management system means that you don't need a webdeveloper to make the changes for you. This means more money for marketing, product development, operations and promotions.

Alan Carter
The most interesting antiques site in the world! That is what this amazing Web-Application will soon be. This is a groundbreaking development in the (huge) antiques and collectables market. With less than a month until launch, it is almost here.
Branding, innovation, integrated marketing and an amazing interface. That is one way to describe The Alan Carter Online Fair. 1000 fresh antiques per fortnight wrapped in a beautiful user experince - even people that dislike antiques will check this site out.
The system is a custom, scalable, integrated web-application designed by the most senior developers at Com Connect. An advanced scalable architecture, a caching layer, automated administration and integrated marketing features - Simply awesome.
Lyons Fine Foods
Lyons is a family owned business that had a website which was horribly designed, was almost impossible to update and had a feature set straight out of the 90s. We talked business requirements first, then devised a very cost effective way to get the business into 2009 in a hurry.
The result is a flexible, SEO friendly, website/web-app hybrid that allows the managers to update the products on the site straight from their browser. No special software, training or otherwise required.
Slick graphics and a neat interface has made this site a leader in their sector of the market. Organic search traffic has jumped significantly and visitors are now engaging the sites content, rather than simply closing the window.

Tutrme.com
We co-developed this site with mastersacademy.com.au and it currently has tutors from every continent in the world listed (Well, not Antarctica). The need for an Australian developed, intuitive and free tutoring directory was identified and we got together and made it happen. The entire application is built on CakePHP and has been layered on top of the iLuminr platform from Masters Academy. It is the first of a series of e-learning platforms that we are co-developing.
The site leverages Google Maps to provide an intuitive, simple and easy interface. Tutors have an opportunity to market themselves online by creating a profile, which highlights their tutoring strengths. The key to the whole system is geo-locational technology built directly into the site. What do we mean by this?
No matter where you turn up to the site from – you immediately see a map that plots your local tutors around your location. From here, you can refine your criteria and get in touch with local tutors who can help you with the subjects you want to improve. It has been very popular in the UK and USA - Which has extended Masters Academy's global reach.
